Our History

Garuda Indonesia Virtual Group was founded in 2019 as Garuda Indonesia Virtual Airlines by our founder, Ozzy. His goal was to focus on the Asian market, as most virtual airlines at that time were based in Europe and the US. Since then, Garuda Indonesia has grown into a small but expanding community. After Ozzy stepped down, Matt777 became the CEO. In mid-May 2022, Sean_McCormack handed the CEO role to Astralis. Recently, our CEO rebranded the airline from Garuda Indonesia Virtual Airlines (GAVA) to Garuda Indonesia Virtual Group (GVG) as Citilink joined our group. Under new leadership, GVG continues to grow and compete with other virtual airlines in Asia by developing new programs. After Astralis stepped down, Humai-Girl took over as CEO. In early-September 2024, after ~~Humai-Girl~~ disappeared, Daeng-E stepped up to take over the leadership of GVG and is highly motivated to improve the virtual airline.
